We’re dedicated to providing you the very best products, with an emphasis on using the finest ingredients sourced from suppliers that share our green ethos, are responsibly and as locally obtained as is practical which reduces the carbon footprint.

The brand was recently launched by myself, Julia, after several years of training and certifying the products. I first became interested in producing my own line of products as I found I was unable to use many others on the market due to both mine and my daughters sensitive skin.

After a long term illness took it’s toll I found comfort in creating beautiful bath products. Family and friends have encouraged me to take the step into sharing them with the world. It has been a long journey of learning, having the products safety assessed and approved and then making sure that everything was in place before Filthy Batch was founded. It has already come a long way from its beginnings with many learning curves along the way but the journey is one I am very proud of.

OUR ETHOS

We like to think that what we do at Filthy Batch is Mother Nature Approved. Our products are natural, eco friendly, cruelty free and vegetarian friendly (– some even vegan). We use natural raw ingredients and materials in our production and our processes to produce them are as efficient as possible. Our packaging is designed to be easily re-used, recycled or composted and we create very little waste.

Our bags are biofilm created from renewable plant materials, not petrochemicals and are fully biodegradable and compostable which means that they break down to CO2, H20 and biomass which can then be reused in the eco system to make new plants.  Our labels are paper and this will deteriorate in a wet environment but don’t worry, all of our product information is still readily available on the website. Any plastics that we have to use are of course limited and are of a PET quality meaning that they are easily and readily recyclable which is universally recognised as a safe and non-toxic material. We always advise to check local authority guidelines for any recycling information.  When disposing of PET correctly it can be recycled to make more PET plastic products. The product life cycle is continuous and doesn’t lead to plastic waste. PET plastic is a sustainable packaging solution with a lower carbon footprint than other plastics. 

We are fortunate to have worked with Business Wales and have been awarded the use of their Sustainable Green Growth Pledge logo after signing up to and being accepted for, the “Green Growth Strategy”. The Pledge offers a range of straightforward, practical steps such as reducing vehicle use, improving waste management, water and energy efficiencies, to more significant changes including the use of appropriate packaging or promoting good practice within the supply chain.
